Michele Chapin, a Wallowa County resident for over 20 years, named her pottery business to remember her experience serving in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa and to honor her Malian host family. Her handmade functional stoneware is created for all kitchen, dining and cooking uses. The glazes are non-toxic and all pieces are microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. The beautiful floral and wheat designs are created using herbs and flowers grown in her garden.
Lee Grover, a retired machinist and Wallowa County resident, uses his skills for wood instead of metal these days, crafting toys and other products from as many natural materials as possible. His items are unique and well made. Purchase of any of his products helps fund his shop's supplies so he may continue making toys for his Great Grandchildren, the same as he did for his children and grandchildren...
